The Most Wonderful Time of the Year…
6. Menomena, These guys are like a prog rock Morphine. I figure the guy who came up with this video walks around in a long leather jacket and looks over his shoulder when his cell phone rings.
5. Okkervil River, I’ve wanted to put these guys on the pix for a while. But I couldn’t find a really good quality live clip. So I went with their rad video instead. I like low lit motel room porn, reminds me of Scarborough .
4. John Frusciante, Stephen Perkins, Mike Watt and Joey Klaparda, The actual song starts at the 2 minute mark. Before that are drugs and mumbling, I tried to find a better version. The song is pretty though.
3. Pinback, Great tune, but not much of a video, unless you dig the northern lights.
2. 120 Days, They just look emo, they sound more like Joy Division or The Cure. I guess that’s kind of emo. I’m gonna go put black sharpie on my fingernails now.
1. Stompin Tom Connors, This is why it’s the most wonderful time of the year, hockey is back! There are tons of blue pajamas in this video, but he does say “the Canadiens win!”
