The Calm Before the Storm
6. Emily Haines and The Soft Skeleton, I worry that this might become a buzz clip, but the song is pretty. Although the visual effect isn’t that original, it’s rarely used so well.
5. Mute math, This clip is like an episode of Mythbusters because even when they explain it to me, I still couldn’t fathom how to do it myself.
4. Super Furry Animals, This is Brian Wilson and Meatloaf making out in the back of a convertible in a public parking lot. With Ricky Gervais taking notes. I swear.
3. The Sea and Cake, I hate emoticons, pop ups, hamster dances, moving rainbows, smiling claymation, GIFs, helpful paperclips and sparkly cursors. But throw all of them at me at once with a great pop song…and I tolerate.
2. Kinky, I know very little about this band, but I appreciate a straight up cover every once in a while. If you like them, you should see who they play with. They have fun friends.
1. Babyshambles, The best part about being a rock star is not even having to get out of bed to have some of your best work done. Second best part is run on sentences.
